For Prathamesh Devikar, adventure began with a simple desire-to escape the everyday corporate routine and experience India beyond the ordinary.
A lifelong fascination with motorcycles eventually led him to discover what the open highway truly represented: freedom.
What began as weekend rides gradually evolved into something much bigger. It became Passiononwheels, a platform built around motorcycles, long-distance touring, automotive experiences, and the belief that the toughest roads are often the ones that teach us the most.

When the Road Tests You
Adventure rarely comes without challenges.
During a recent Spiti Valley circuit, Prathamesh experienced one of his most frightening moments. Just after crossing Chicham Bridge, his motorcycle suffered a puncture.
There was no mobile network. No one else was around. The nearest village was 26 kilometres away, darkness was approaching, and he was in an area known for snow leopard sightings.
With only a portable electric pump, he managed to continue for around 10 kilometres before the tyre went flat again. Eventually, his pump battery died.
With temperatures dropping and nowhere to go, he prepared himself for a freezing night stranded in the mountains.
Then, unexpectedly, a lone car appeared.
The people inside stopped and helped him inflate the tyre enough to reach the next village.
That experience left him with a lesson he carries forward: respect the mountains, prepare for the unexpected, and trust the brotherhood of the road.

9,400 Kilometres. 32 Days. One Motorcycle.
Among his biggest achievements is a 32-day, 9,400-kilometre solo ride across India-from Pune to Kanyakumari, all the way up to Kashmir, and safely back to Pune.
His journey also includes a Ladakh expedition to Umling La and the challenging Pune–Spiti Valley circuit.
But for Prathamesh, these aren't simply distances or destinations. They represent boundaries pushed, lessons learned, and limits discovered along the way.

The Moment That Changed His Perspective
At 19,024 feet, reaching Umling La was more than another milestone.
Breathing at that altitude was difficult, the cold was intense, and every moment demanded physical and mental endurance.
Yet sitting on his motorcycle at the summit, Prathamesh felt something stronger than exhaustion-gratitude.
He realized he was the first person in his entire bloodline to accomplish something like this.
That moment changed how he looked at his own potential.
It showed him that sometimes, the biggest boundaries aren't found on a map-they exist within us.
“Adventure is not just about the thousands of miles you conquer, but the boundaries you push within yourself along the way.”
Today, through Passiononwheels, Prathamesh wants to educate and inspire fellow riders. His goal is not simply to showcase epic journeys, but to encourage people to respect the road, learn from others' experiences, and make safety a priority.
As he moves toward full-time automotive content creation, his journey continues-with more roads to discover, more stories to tell, and more boundaries to push.
Because the road doesn't just take you somewhere. Sometimes, it shows you what you're capable of.
